The Kansas City Royals defeated the New York Mets 7-1 in Game Two of the World Series, thanks to an outburst of runs in the sixth and eighth innings and a complete-game performance from pitcher Johnny Cueto. Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar and first-baseman Eric Hosmer drove in a pair of runs each, and Cueto gave up only two hits, safely lifting Kansas City over the Mets. The series will head back to New York for Game Three, scheduled for Friday at 8:10 p.m. ET.
