And then there was one: Betty White is the sole surviving Golden Girl after her former cast mate Rue McClanahan died on Thursday of a stroke. McClanahan played Blanche Devereaux on the show and won an Emmy for the role in 1987. She also underwent treatment for breast cancer in 1997 and had heart bypass surgery in 2009.
