Russell Brand Arrested at LAX

After allegedly hitting a photographer.

British comedian and actor Russell Brand was arrested Friday after getting in a fight with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport. Sources tell the Los Angeles Times that Brand exchanged words and hit a paparazzo around 3 p.m. at Terminal 5 at LAX. Brand has reportedly been taken to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division station where he will likely be booked on suspicion of battery. Interestingly, the same fate befell Kanye West last year when he also quarreled with a photographer at LAX; airport officials say they’ve been trying to reduce problems between celebrities and paparazzi. The status of the photographer is unknown.
