Edward Snowden has been given a three-year residence permit by Russia, his lawyer announced on Thursday. The permit will allow Snowden to move about freely as well as travel abroad. "In the future Edward will have to decide whether to continue to live in Russia and become a citizen or to return to the United States," his lawyer said. Snowden, 31, is wanted in the U.S. on espionage charges. While sightings in Moscow have been reported by Russian media, Snowden has made only one known public appearance and only given a few interviews.
