Russia says it expelled two American diplomats from the country last month. According to the Foreign Ministry, an incident with a police officer outside the U.S. embassy in Moscow led to one staffer’s expulsion from the country, while another was accused of being a CIA operative. “We hope that Washington will realize all the viciousness of the aggressive anti-Russia line,” Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in a statement. “If they decide there to move on the path of escalation, they won’t be left without a response.” The U.S. made a similar move last month after a Russian police officer allegedly attacked an American diplomat in Moscow.
