During the election Joe Biden warned America to “gird your loins” because, once in office, Barack Obama would be “tested” by a belligerent foreign leader, but, so far, they’ve turned out to be a pretty cooperative bunch. Bush planned to deploy the missiles in Poland, ostensibly in order to protect the United States from attacks from the Middle East. But the move infuriated nearby Russia. According to The Times of London, Obama and Russian President Dmitri Medvedev spoke by phone on Monday.
