A photographer for Russia's state-run media organization appears to have captured images of the country’s until-now unknown new military-satellite program. A TASS photographer accompanying Russia’s defense minister on a visit to a remote Siberian factory photographed a board with references to a geostationary satellite listed as Repei-S and Repei-V—a program never-before-known to Western watchers. Analysts at Jane's Intelligence Review believe the reveal was a slip-up, as the photo doesn’t appear on the Russian defense ministry website, though it is possible the leak was calculated for Western eyes (something Moscow has done in the past).
