Russia Sends Cargo Ship to Space Station

We have lift-off. Russia successfully launched a cargo ship to the International Space Station Sunday, which will help prepare for the next manned mission. The successful blast-off also eased concerns about the station's future after a previous failed attempt in August, which had cast doubt on the ability of the Soyuz booster rockets to do their job. NASA says the space station will have to be temporarily abandoned if a new crew cannot be sent there by mid-November.
