Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is calling the bombing of a subway car in St. Petersburg a “terrorist attack.” According to the BBC, Medvedev made the pronouncement on his Facebook page, and a terrorism investigation has been opened. At least 10 people were killed on Monday when a bomb exploded inside an underground train that was traveling between two stations. Dozens more were injured. Russian President Vladimir Putin was in the city when the explosions went off, and was meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
