Syrian rebels are believed to have used “toxic substances” in the city of Aleppo, according to the Russian government. Those claims were backed up by Syria’s state media, which said toxic gas was found inside the shells that rebels have been firing. An attack on Tuesday reportedly killed seven people, while 20 others were hospitalized. Aleppo has been a hotbed where tensions between rebels and government forces have escalated in recent days.
