Because international tensions aren't high enough, Russia announced it will hold military exercises and training near the Ukrainian border. Putin's attempt to show strength comes after Ukraine secured some significant victories recapturing territory from pro-Russian separatists. Russia has ordered more than 100 aircraft to conduct the exercises, which will aid in the "coordination between aviation and anti-missile defense," according to Interfax. Fighting has intensified between Ukraine and rebels, with Ukrainian forces recently securing an important railway hub near Donetsk.
