Russian Truckers Protest Tolls

Hundreds of Russian truckers on Friday blocked traffic on a road near Moscow in protest of a new national toll. The main target for their anger was a man named Igor Rotenberg – he co-owns a GPS-based system that will charge truckers who use federal highways – but truckers were also dismayed by the sorry state of the Russian economy, which has shrunk by 4 percent in the last year. "The country is very rich, yet we live like hell," one said.
