Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, the Rutgers students who broadcast Tyler Clementi’s sexual encounter with another man via webcam—which led Clementi to kill himself—say they did not witness Clementi having sex and that the encounter was viewed only on a single computer. Ravi and Wei have been charged with invasion of privacy. "Nothing was transmitted beyond one computer and what was seen was only viewed for a matter of seconds,” Ravi’s attorney said. Ravi and Wei claim they only saw Clementi kissing the other man. After witnessing the encounter, Ravi tweeted that he had seen his roommate “making out with a dude.”
