A gold mine collapse in South Africa on Friday has trapped more than 100 people, officials said. About 80 people had been freed by rescue workers at the Lily Mine in Mpumalanga province. Authorities were unclear about the cause of the disaster, but only minor injuries were reported by those already rescued Friday morning. “Mine rescue services are still busy on scene to rescue the remaining miners underground,” an official said.
