Saatchi's Museum

MOCA LONDON

Charles Saatchi gives 200 works from his collection to Britain, creating a public museum.

Charles Saatchi will give his Saatchi Gallery, which includes a collection of contemporary art valued at more than $30 million, to the British public. The gallery will become the Museum of Contemporary Art for London, and will house works by artists such as Tracey Emin, whose My Bed, 1998 installation is included, and Grayson Perry, a vase sculptor who often cross-dresses as a girl doll. Perry told the BBC that he is “honored” to be a party of the major donation and new museum.
