Ken Howard, the star of the 1970s sports drama The White Shadow, and the president of the Screen Actors Guild passed away at the age of 71 on Wednesday. He also more recently made appearances on the sitcom 30 Rock, and Hollywood comedy The Wedding Ringer. The cause of his death is unknown. “Ken was a remarkable leader and his powerful vision for this union was a source of inspiration for all of us,” SAG-AFTRA acting president Gabrielle Carteris said in a statement.
