PROGRESS

Unseating two-term mayor.

Salt Lake City voters elected Jackie Biskupski as the city’s and the state of Utah’s first openly gay mayor. According to early vote tallies Tuesday, Biskupski defeated two-term Mayor Ralph Becker by a margin of 52 to 47.8 percent.
