San Diego’s City Council unanimously voted on Tuesday to sue Mayor Bob Filner to recover costs the city incurs as a result of his former communications director filing a sexual-harassment suit. The nine-member panel voted just hours before it was supposed to take up Filner's request that San Diego pick up his legal fees for defending himself in the case. Seven women have accused Filner of making unwanted sexual advances. His former aide alleges that he told her to remove her underwear at work. Filner, who was elected in November, has said he won't resign and is undergoing therapy for his behavior.
