Bernie Sanders’s campaign manager said the Vermont senator will remain a Democrat, even if he is not the nominee in November. Bloomberg Politics’ Mark Halperin asked campaign manager Jeff Weaver if Sanders would stay in the Democratic Party if he loses the primary to rival Hillary Clinton. “Well, he is a Democrat. Sanders’s Senate website touts him as “the longest serving independent member of Congress in American history.” However, he caucuses with the Democrats.
