Bernie Sanders released his 2014 tax returns on Friday, making good on a pledge to increase transparency around his finances. The 1040 form, jointly filed with his wife Jane Sanders, shows a combined income of $205,271, $174,000 of which came from Sanders’s Senate salary and Social Security benefits. The couple paid $27,653 in federal taxes in 2014.
