There’s been surprisingly little backlash to the media’s Jerry Sandusky bloodlust over the past month, but The Daily Beast’s Mansfield Frazier says enough’s enough. The crimes he’s accused of are indeed revolting, but Sandusky has yet to stand trial and already the public is calling for his head. “Prosecutors in Pennsylvania are more than happy to feed the beast, but they’re doing so for one glaring reason: to cover their own asses.” If he’s found guilty, the ex-coach should be locked away for life—but he deserves a fair trial.
