Mitt Romney has made clear that his campaign is focused first and foremost on the economy, but Rick Santorum thinks there’s a more important issue to focus on right now: national security. Specifically, whether Iran poses a nuclear threat. In Santorum’s opinion, this isn’t actually a question. “Iran is developing a nuclear weapon, even though this administration denies that fact,” Santorum said Monday in Ohio. “[President Obama] hasn’t quite agreed that Iran is building a nuclear weapon. I think we need a president who can grasp reality a little bit better.” Not only does Santorum think he is better equipped to handle such a threat than the current president, he argues he is more experienced in foreign-policy matters than Mitt Romney, since he served on the Senate Armed Services Committee for eight years.
