Rick Santorum took the lead during the second round of questions at tonight's debate and aimed several biting comments directly at Mitt Romney, arguing that his Massachusetts health-care plan “lacks credibility” because it was the model for Obamacare. He bluntly said Americans can’t “trust” Romney, whose face immediately flushed as he found himself on the defensive. The atmosphere was tense as Romney dismissed Santorum’s attack, saying his plan was right for the state of Massachusetts but not for other states. Santorum immediately interrupted him, and the audience booed as their spat escalated. Finally gaining the upper hand, Romney cleared the air and reiterated his intention to repeal Obama’s health-care plan if elected president.
