Rick Santorum is counting on basic math to help him fight against Mitt Romney. Santorum said Sunday on Face the Nation that “bad math … doesn’t reflect the reality of what’s going on on the ground.” Santorum called out Romney’s wins in Florida and Arizona, where Romney was awarded all the delegates. Santorum said RNC rules bar states from holding winner-takes-all primaries prior to April 1. Romney leads the count 568 to 272; 1,144 delegates are needed for a party nomination. Team Romney fired back, saying Santorum’s camp was like a football team “celebrating a field goal” when “losing by seven touchdowns.”
