“We’re going to get voters that we need to be able to win this election, and we’re going to do that here in Michigan,” said Rick Santorum Tuesday, defending his recent automated call directed at Michigan progressives. Mitt Romney has derided the call as a “dirty trick,” but Santorum “can take” the criticism. “When I go out and have a message of growth and opportunity instead of running negative ads and are running robo-calls with my voice from four years ago, that’s not a dirty trick,” Santorum quipped, referring to the Romney camp using Santorum’s own endorsement for Mitt’s 2008 presidential campaign against him. Angered though he may be by Rick’s robo-call, Romney has wasted no time taking advantage of the campaign tactic, having already launched a fundraising page on his website to counter “Operation: Stop Mitt.”
