Santorum Woos Palin Fans in Ad

Don't forget the mama grizzlies. As Iowa's vote approaches, Rick Santorum is hoping to capitalize on his late surge by making a direct appeal to fans of Sarah Palin. "Sarah Palin praised Santorum for protecting the sanctity of life," a new radio ad on behalf of the candidate says. Palin hasn't made an endorsement in the race, and it'd be a surprise if she chose Santorum—the two got in a public dispute in February when Palin skipped a CPAC conference. But the former Alaska governor has remained a presence in the race. On Wednesday, Newt Gingrich floated her as a possible vice-presidential candidate.
