Sarah Jessica Parker Endorses Cynthia Nixon for New York Governor

Nixon’s former co-star announced her backing via Instagram.

Sarah Jessica Parker endorsed her former Sex and the City co-star Cynthia Nixon for New York Governor in a Thursday morning Instagram post. “A mother, An activist, An advocate, A fighter, A NY’er, A dear friend,” Parker wrote in a caption of a Nixon headshot. “Running for Governor of our great state. My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote.” This comes after Parker told Page Six in a statement that she “looke[ed] forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid.” Fellow co-stars Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis also weighed in, with Davis writing that “she would be an excellent Governor” and Catrall tweeting that she “support[s] & respect[s] any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices.”
