The attorney defending Liam McAtasney, who is accused of strangling his childhood friend Sarah Stern before tossing her body off a bridge, is demanding a mistrial after a juror posted a Facebook comment about the case. The juror, who has not been identified, was dismissed from the trial on Thursday after Judge Richard English received a call about the post. “Sitting on the jury LMAO,” the juror allegedly wrote on Facebook, breaking the court’s rules on not speaking about the trial before it is complete. The New Jersey murder trial, which started last month, is expected to finish next week.
