In a surprising encounter, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman enthusiastically greeted each other at the G-20 summit in Argentina, just one day after President Trump decided to pull the plug on his highly anticipated face-to-face sitdown with Putin at the meetup. The two world leaders laughed as they slapped hands before they sat down next to each other. Both leaders are no strangers to intense criticism. MBS has been blamed for the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, while Russia has been under fire for seizing three Ukrainian naval vessels near Crimea and a string of mysterious deaths among Kremlin critics and reporters.
