A Sri Lankan domestic worker in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to death by stoning after she confessed to adultery with another migrant worker, a man who was given a lesser punishment of 100 lashes. Sri Lanka has urged the Arab nation to pardon the woman and has hired lawyers to file an appeal. The woman, 45, had been working as a maid in Riyadh since 2013 and was convicted in August.
