AFTER THE FALL

Scaramucci Says He Is ‘Going Dark’

“Then I will reemerge... as me.”

Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, has said in a new interview with The Huffington Post that he intends to “go dark” and disappear from public life. “Then I will reemerge,” he said. “As me.” When he was fired about 10 days after taking on the role, he said, “The president told me he knows I have his back, but he has to try to tighten the ship.” During that same window of time, Scaramucci’s wife gave birth and filed for divorce. He also gave a notoriously f-bomb-laden interview with The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza, which likely contributed to his ouster. More than one week after the birth of his child, he still hadn’t visited the baby, according to The Huffington Post, which reported that, as of Tuesday afternoon, he hadn’t met his son.
