A star-studded crowd has turned out to show their support for Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention’s last night. Actresses Eva Longoria and Scarlett Johansson both used their modest roots to make a case for Obama and reach out to lower-class voters. Johansson spoke about a childhood of living in housing developments and the need for public programs to help those less fortunate. Longoria seconded Johansson’s points, saying grants and financial aid got her through college. “The Eva Longoria who worked at Wendy's flipping burgers needed a tax break,” she said. “The Eva Longoria who works on movie sets does not.”
