At least two people were shot at a high school in Gardena, California, on Tuesday. The victims are students, according to a school district official. One girl, 15 years old, was shot in the head; she is in critical condition. Another was hit in the shoulder in a wound described as "through-and-through." The incident occured when a student brought a gun to school in a backpack. He later dropped the backpack, causing the gun to discharge and wound the two students. The suspect, an unidentified senior, was taken into police custody.
