The Ridley Scott-directed science fiction bonanza Prometheus opened to great fanfare early Friday morning, and is expected to gross about $56 million this weekend. The prequel to the original Alien classic, which was directed by Scott in 1979, has generated the most buzz among all summer films. Another movie predicted to do quite well at the box office is Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, which could rake in about $48 million in its debut.
