The Sci Fi Channel has officially been rechristened: Behold, SyFy. That’s “SyFy” as in “Wi-Fi,” not “SyFy” as in “syphilis.” The NBC-owned network is trying to extend its programming beyond the science-fiction genre, which seems to defeat the purpose, but whatever floats Jeff Zucker’s boat.
