Scientist announced on Wednesday the discovery of several archaic Homo sapien remains that indicate mankind evolved earlier than had previously been known. The roughly 300,000 year old fossils, found in Morocco, show the early Homo sapiens shared facial traits similar to ours, but their brains were shaped longer and lower than humans today. Before the discovery, the oldest recognizable Homo sapien remains were just 195,000 years old and discovered in Ethiopia. The discovery also indicates that humans evolved across the African continent.
