Firefighters in Southern California are continuing to make progress in containing a wildfire at Los Padres National Forest in the face of triple-digit heat and strong winds. The fire has burned nearly 8,000 acres, and nearby blazes have forced evacuations in Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. Temperatures are expected to remain in the high 90s through Tuesday.
