The deputy assistant to President Trump said Tuesday the Trump campaign's attempts to get “dirt” on Hillary Clinton is “what political campaigns do.” Sebastian Gorka was responding in a CNN interview to reports that Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer in the hopes of helping his father's campaign. Gorka defended Trump Jr., who Gorka said “wanted the dirt,” and emphasized that Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya had no connection to the Kremlin. Gorka then went on the offensive as the interview got more heated, telling CNN co-anchor Alisyn Camerota, “More people watch Nick at Nite cartoons than CNN today.”
