The second nurse to contract Ebola in the U.S. is free of the virus and will be released from Emory University Hospital on Tuesday. Amber Vinson, 29, contracted the virus after treating Thomas Eric Duncan in Dallas. The virus has been undetectable in Vinson’s body since Oct. 21. Both Vinson and the other Dallas nurse, Nina Pham, are now free of the virus. Vinson’s case initially stirred fears that Ebola would spread after it was revealed she flew to Ohio and back with a slight fever after treating Duncan. Her family says she cleared her flight with the hospital three times before departing.
