The Senate Budget Committee voted on Tuesday along party lines to approve the GOP’s tax overhaul bill, a move that sets up a vote on the Senate floor later this week. Key Republican holdouts, including Sens. Rob Johnson (R-WI) and Bob Corker (R-TN), said their concerns about certain provisions of the legislation were resolved after President Donald Trump met with the full Senate Republican caucus earlier Tuesday. If the Senate approves the legislation, it will be reconciled with the House-passed version, which contains different provisions.
