The Senate voted 98-1 on Thursday to force a congressional review of the Iranian nuclear deal being negotiated with Iran by the U.S. and other world powers. The bill, championed by Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), would prevent President Obama from lifting sanctions on Iran for 30 days while Congress reviews the details of any final nuclear arrangement. If Congress were to vote disapprove of the deal, it could block Obama from lifting some sanctions. The bill now goes to the House for final passage, and the White House has signaled that Obama would sign it.
