Senate Passes Two-Year Budget Deal

Obama expected to sign next.

Two days after the House of Representatives approved a bipartisan budget deal aimed at averting a government shutdown next month, the Senate followed suit. The two-year agreement, which raises the debt limit through March 2017, was approved by a 64-35 margin Friday morning and will head to President Obama’s desk for approval. He is expected to sign it.
