On Thursday, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted to declassify parts of a CIA report on post-9/11 detention and interrogation practices used on suspected terrorists. By a vote of 11-3, the panel voted to release the 6,300-page report review’s summary. “The purpose of this review was to uncover the facts behind this secret program, and the results were shocking,” said committee chairwoman Dianne Feinstein. “The report exposes brutality that stands in stark contrast to our values as a nation.”
