South Korea’s spy agency believes ankle surgery was the reason behind North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un’s mysterious six-week absence. The National Intelligence Agency told legislators in a closed-door briefing that a foreign doctor removed a cyst from Kim’s right ankle, according to an aide to lawmaker Shin Kyung-min. The agency has a less-than-perfect track record when it comes to deciphering the inner workings of the Hermit Kingdom. However, it would explain why Kim appeared to be limping in certain photos and videos. It is certainly a less-exciting explanation for the six-week absence in September and October, which many experts speculated was a sign of Kim’s political demise and a changing regime.
