Two severed heads of women have been found just 150 miles apart in Texas and Louisiana, and authorities are now working to determine whether the cases are linked. The first grisly discovery was made on March 1 near a marsh in Cameron Parish in southwestern Louisiana. A few weeks later, another head was found in a black trash bag near Lake Houston. Both victims have been described as women around the same age with reddish or auburn hair, according to investigators cited by the Houston Chronicle. The victims also had teeth that were in good condition, suggesting they were not drug abusers or transients. In both cases, witnesses reported seeing a man in the area where the heads were discovered, a lead that investigators are following up on.
