Former Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair may have been spared prison time, but the U.S. army isn't letting him off the hook. The man who was accused of forcing a female captain to perform oral sex on him has been demoted two ranks. During his court-martial, Sinclair pleaded guilty to adultery and conducting inappropriate relationships. He ultimately got away with a fine of $20,000 when he could have received jail time. Under this demotion, he will be forced to retire as a lieutenant colonel, which will slash his retirement pay. It is the first time in a decade a retired general officer has been reduced two ranks, marking it as a major dishonor.
