One of the victims is the alleged shooter’s mother-in-law.
According to officials, a 51-year-old man shot five people in an East Georgia community on Friday night before killing himself. Wayne Hawes, the suspected shooter, was related to at least one of the victims, Reba Dent, who was his mother-in-law. Hawes’s wife is in protective custody.
