A gunman opened fire at the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy, a charter school, in Decatur, Ga., on Tuesday afternoon. Law enforcement officials rushed to the scene as children were evacuated from the school. Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries, but they are still sorting out what happened. A local news outlet is reporting that police have one suspect who is a white male in his 20s with an AK47 in custody. The gunman, who surrendered without resistance, also reportedly demanded that school personnel call a local television station to have reporters come cover the incident.
