Shots Fired at Reno Medical Center

A suspected gunman and at least one other person are dead and as many as three others were injured Monday when a man allegedly opened fire at the Renown Regional Medical Facility in Reno. Among those on the Renown campus during the time of the shooting was State Senator Debbie Smith, who told the Reno Gazette-Journal by phone, “I’m in the building across from the parking lot, they won’t let anybody out. They told me I should plan on staying in here for an hour.” Police are still investigating the shooter’s identity and motive. The gunman reportedly killed himself after firing shots.
