Singer Strickland Died From Hypothermia

According to wife.

Country singer Craig Strickland’s wife confirmed on Twitter that her husband died of hypothermia, hours after his body was found at an Oklahoma lake and one week after he went missing. The 29-year-old Arkansas-based frontman for Backroad Anthem was out duck hunting when a severe weather system came into the area and capsized his boat. Strickland’s body was recovered at Kaw Lake, in the original search area, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. “The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in,” his wife, Helen, wrote on Instagram. “He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep.”
